There are many places to go.   You can stay right in the downtown harbor and visit Pinky's Pond, or the Aquatic Center,  paddle up to the 3rd tallest National Monument, or take a spin around Gibraltar Island and see if you can go through "The Needles Eye"  The limestone cliffs are gorgeous.  How do I know?  The New York Times said so.  

30 minutes will take you to the Benson Ford "ship" that can only be viewed the best by water.  30 minutes can take you in the other direction to a beach and a nature walk.  Did I mention that  a 30 minute paddle will take you right across the lake and you will be on Middle Bass Island visiting the glacial grooves, Lonz Winery (not open-but you can walk the grounds) and have some lunch at JF Walleye's or St. Hazards.   LOTS OF PLACES TO GO-JUST PICK ONE AND DO IT!!!!!!  A great opportunity for some great photos.
